Show announcement coming soon! BackBeat encourages students of all levels to come and audition for the show. The cast members of the play will work on singing, acting, and dancing. The students of this class will benefit from working with professional musicians and actors who have performed in a variety of venues. The cast will also benefit from master classes that focus on topics such as audition preparation and workshops such as jazz dance.
Acting I/II
BackBeat City is excited to present new drama classes for the fall of 2011. Acting I is designed for ages 8- 13 and Acting II is for ages 14-18. Begin your journey into the characters and experiences that young actors need to flourish. Learn to project your voice, work as a team and to learn the lifestyles of other people by becoming their character. Acting II will have more in-depth scene study and character development.
Improv
This playful, fun and experimental class will leave you laughing and smiling while you take on the roles of many different characters. Games, activities and short scenes make this a great way to build up a young person’s confidence and to enjoy the company of others. Daily laughter guaranteed!
I was in 13 my character was eddie in the. i had sooooo much fun during it. What was weird was that i went from not wanting to do i always said NO. But then one day i was waiting to get picked up and so i was hearing the rehearsal and i knew that they needed a boy. the music sounded fun so i asked sarah if i could be in it and she said yes. and after a couple of rehearsals i ended up loving it soooo much. now that it is over i miss the cast and the play and the band/kyle so much. 13!!!!!!!!
