Instructors – J.
J is an accomplished guitar player with 16 years of guitar experience. J borrows guitar technique from various styles including classical, brazilian, flamenco, jazz, rock, blues, and folk.He loves performing various improvisational styles of music and enjoys creating chord melody solo arrangements for guitar. J is mostly a self taught musician but has taken masters classes with the likes of Tommy Emmanuel. He has been teaching guitar for the past several years and teaches students of all ages and skill level. J feels that teaching and learning guitar should be a fun process. He tries to teach the kind of music his students want to learn. J is former Director of Student Support Services at the College of Visual and Performing Arts at Syracuse University and has earned 2 masters degree’s in Counseling Psychology from Columbia University, Teachers College.
